Welcome to Dreamport.net

What if you could wake up in your dreams and control everything around you? Lucid dreaming allows a person to turn a regular dream into a virtual reality game. You can soar in the skies and explore the unexplored, you can spawn endless amounts of anything (like that new car you want), you can talk with relatives who have passed on, or you can even just create your own world and become ruler of all! We spend 1/3 of our lives sleeping, so why not take back what you have lost?

It really is amazing to be able to take a mini vacation at night when you dream, especially after a stressful day at work. If you’re looking to lucid dream, there are some key reminders to remember. First of all, you need to get at least 7 hours of sleep a night. The first several hours of sleeping consists of “deep sleep,” where you will either not dream or you just won’t remember anything if you do dream. REM stages, where you dream, really don’t start to occur until about 5 hours after initially falling asleep. REM cycles can last from as little as 10 minutes to as much as 90 minutes. Generally, the later you sleep, the more 90 minute REM cycles you’ll have–which means you’ll have more chances to be lucid!

Another important reminder is to not give up. Lucid dreaming is an amazing experience to have, but it does take a bit of work for newcomers to get the hang of how to have a lucid dream. Your lucid dream may come sooner or later than others, but the important thing to recognize is that it will come. All you have to do is keep at techniques to induce lucidity and before you know it you’ll be in an entirely new world.

As for how to actually induce lucidity, there are an infinite amount of ways. Some ways take more work than others, but they all lead to the same result; it’s just a matter of figuring out which is the best fit for you. To help achieve widespread knowledge of common techniques, DreamPort.net has a resource library for techniques located in the “Techniques” tab in the navigation bar up top. This database will show you information on over twenty different techniques and will provide tutorials for each. In addition, you can download DreamPort software courses like Infinity for a more routine like basis on achieving lucidity. You can find links to DreamPort made software at the “Software” page up top.

Lucid dreaming is just the beginning of exploring your dreams. You can step up a level and venture into the world of shared dreaming, where you are actually able to have a dream with somebody else. While not scientifically proven yet, shared dreaming truly is an amazing field and should not be overlooked. This and more can be found around DreamPort.net and the forums.

See you on the other side!
